The optional AI buttons use the free AI requests shared by all the AI tools: 3 a day without an account, and 15 a day once you sign in, resetting at midnight India time (IST). After that, each AI request needs 1 credit; signed in, you can buy credit packs on the Credits page.
No. There is no sign-up and nothing to upload: you type your details into the builder and they stay in your browser, on your own device. The optional AI buttons are the only exception — each sends just the text it needs to an AI provider, such as one role’s bullet points for Improve bullets.
ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System — the software many companies use to scan resumes before a human sees them. An ATS-friendly resume uses a clean, single-column-friendly layout and real, selectable text (not an image) so parsing software has the best chance of reading it correctly. Every ATS is different, so no tool can promise how a specific one will treat your resume.
As you edit, the overall resume score above the preview rates your resume out of 100 on four groups of resume quality signals: structure and completeness (valid contact details, complete roles with dates, education, a focused skills list), experience and impact (specific bullets, action verbs, measurable results), parse safety (standard headings, readable dates, no decorative symbols) and relevance. Paste the job description you are applying to and relevance becomes a job-description match: which of the posting’s key terms your resume covers, crediting skills you show in your experience above ones only listed, and never rewarding repetition or padded skills lists. A score of 95 or more needs every one of the four areas to be strong. The score is calculated on your device, gives the same result for the same resume and job, and lists recommendations highest impact first. It is guidance based on common practices, not a prediction of any particular system. The separate Format check has its own score for formatting alone (symbols, bullet style, dates, contact fields), so it is often higher than the overall score.
Real, selectable text. The PDF export is machine-readable, which is what applicant tracking systems need in order to extract your details. Image-only PDFs, by contrast, often can’t be read at all.
