How to add a watermark to a PDF online

Mark a document as “Draft”, “Confidential” or brand it with your logo. In the PDF editor, the Watermark panel puts text or an image on all pages or a range such as 1-3, 5, centred or tiled, at the opacity and angle you choose, and you see it on the pages as you set it. When you download, it is written into the file so it can’t be toggled off. It all runs in your browser — no upload and no watermark from us on top of yours.

Is adding a watermark free?

Yes — free, with no account, and we never add our own watermark to your file.

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. In the Watermark panel choose Image, pick a PNG or JPG, then set its size and opacity. A PNG with a transparent background sits on the page without a white box.

Will the watermark stay on the file?

Yes. When you download, the watermark is written into the PDF so it can’t simply be removed by toggling a layer.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The watermark is added in your browser on your device.

Can I put the watermark on every page?

Yes: on all pages, or on a range such as 1-3, 5. The range counts pages in their current order, after any you moved or deleted.

Can I make the watermark see-through or diagonal?

Yes. Set its opacity (30% to start) and its angle — 0°, 45°, 90° or anything in between — and place it in the centre or tiled over the page.

Can the watermark text be in Hindi or another script?

Not yet. The watermark font draws Latin letters only, so the panel warns you and won’t add text in other scripts. An image of the text works instead.
